The Obstacles Faced by the Male and Female Principals of Public Primary and Secondary Schools in the Directorate of Education of the Southern Jordan Valley while Performing their Work

Objective: The study aimed to identify the obstacles faced by the male and female headmistresses of public primary and secondary schools affiliated with the Directorate of Education of the Southern Jordan Valley while performing their work.
Method: The researcher used the descriptive method of data collection, analysis, and interpretation.where a questionnaire was prepared consisting of 41 paragraphs, divided into 8 areas and the sample of the study consisted of 21 managers and headmistresses from the Directorate of education of the southern Jordan Valley.
Result: The study results showed that the obstacles to work in school administration in primary and Secondary Public Schools came with an average degree, with an arithmetic mean of 3.06 and a standard deviation of 0.49. “The supervising educational authorities” field ranked first with an arithmetic average of 3.9 and a high score. In contrast, “poor skills of the principal as a resident supervisor" came in eighth and last place with an arithmetic average of 2.08.
Conclusion: The study came up with several recommendations, includingworking to increase ties between the school and the local community as a supporting body for the school, supported by many sources, and the study made a recommendation to move away from randomness in decision-making and establish firm foundations for transfers between teachers and administrators.
