gender type of faculty he or she is studying in, the student’s study level at
university, and his or her accumulative grade point at the university on the
student’s absorption of the patterns of values. The study sample consisted of
(1128) freshman and senior students in both public and private Jordanian
universities. Results showed that the degree of students’ absorption of the
patterns of values was high on the total items of the survey questionnaire.
Students’ compliance with patterns of values were ordered as follows: religious
values, political values, practical values, social values, and economic values.

economic, and practical values on the total items of the study instrument
from their perspectives Whereas, results showed that there were statistically
significant differences in the students’ absorption of religious and political
values that can be attributed to gender in favor of females. The study also
showed that there were statistically significant differences that can be attributed
to the participants’ faculty in favor of students of the scientific faculties in
their absorption of social, economic, religious values, and practical values
on the total items of the study instrument. Whereas, results showed that there
were no statistically significant differences in the students’ absorption of
political values that can be attributed to the participants’ faculty. However,
the study showed that there were no statistically significant differences that
can be attributed to the participants’ seniority of study at university in their
absorption of social, economic, religious, and practical values on the total
items of the study instrument from the students’ perspectives. Whereas, results
showed that there were statistically significant differences in the students’
absorption of political values that can be attributed to their seniority of
study at university in favor of freshman students. Finally, results showed that
there were statistically significant differences that can be attributed to the
participants’ accumulative grade point at university in their absorption of social, political, and practical values on the total items of the study
instrument in favor of students who got a very good AGP. Results also
showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the students’
absorption of economic and religious values that can be attributed to the
students’ AGP.
In the light of findings, the study came up with a number of
recommendations:
1. The plans include courses at universities related to globalization in all
its dimensions, and to be taught functionary to help understanding these
dimensions, and deal with them awareness and ability to choose what
fits the social and economic values that derive from religious values.
2. To combine the efforts local community institutions, the media and
educational institutions at different educational levels of the educational
role of individuals and society for the importance of the family as a basis
to build community, and demonstrate its role as one of the basic references
in the education of adolescents .
