Abstract

This study deals with the laws, regulations and decrees issued and

enforced by the occupation authorities, the aim of which has been to force

Jerusalemite citizens to leave Jerusalem since its occupation in 1967 and

up to 2014. The study has focused on the extent to which these laws can

be dangerous for Palestinians, particularly, the two laws of “citizenship"

(nationality) and entry into Israel which were issued in 1952; the law of

Domicili, which was issued in 1988 and was enforced in 1995, in addition to

law No. 1813 which, prima facie, was issued to deal with the unification of

Palestinians, but in reality its aim was contrary to that. The study also tackled

the gravity of the magnetized (intelligent) identity cards which the Israeli

Ministry of Interior started to issue in 2013.

In conclusion, the study has pointed out that the aim of the laws,

regulations and decrees issued by the Israeli occupation authorities has

been to combat the demographic danger and to decrease the number

of Palestinians in Jerusalem to become approximately 12% of its

population in 2030.
